Sales Specialist - Maintenance Agreements

We are already #1 in our market; but we need an energetic Customer Service Representative to proactively work with our clients to increase our sales of Reoccurring Monthly Revenue services (Preventative Maintenance Agreements).
Our successful candidate must be self-motivated to research, create and implement new programs and client base to achieve sales goals as established with management. This position requires consistent client contact, accurate record keeping, and regular follow up to ensure client satisfaction and timely delivery.To perform this job successfully, you must have high energy, excellent organization, communication and follow up skills. To succeed, our successful candidate must have intermediate experience with MS Office and customer database management (ACT! Preferred), be a motivated self starter, and have two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Base salary range for the position is $36,000 - $40,000, plus incentives.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the VP of Sales, research, create and implement plans to enhance our customer service and sales to our existing clients as well as new prospective customers. This does not include equipment sales. 100% focus is on Reoccurring Monthly Revenue programs such as service & maintenance contracts, software support agreements, continued training programs, system testing, alarm monitoring, guard response, etc. Success is measured on establishing contacts with clients for annual and multi-year agreements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
1. Contribute to the annual sales and marketing planning effort with the Sales Manager and set specific goals and action plans.
2. Develop new and refine existing Selectron RMR programs and make recommendations to management for improved product offering.
3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Selectron service offerings.
4. Contact prospective existing and prospective customers to educate our clients on Selectron’s services and benefits.
5. Conduct site surveys at prospect’s place of business and analyzes prospect's requirements.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with decision-making, decision influencing, and purchasing contacts.
7. Investigate and resolve customer problems in a timely manner.
8. Demonstrate a team spirit in all job related activities and communications with coworkers and customers.
9. Other duties as may be assigned.
CORE COMPETENCIES
· Research and create call list of all contacts and update marketing calendar and client newsletters.
· Enters names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects solicited into customer database. Updates and maintains customer database.
· Maintain Maintenance Agreement process with Service Department:
§ Include maintenance agreement section in all new proposals.
§ Develop and manage account tracking.
§ Develop and manage PM letter series.
· Coordinate the development, production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials and activities to support sales and marketing efforts.
§ Develop and coordinate box sales flyers and mailers with Service Department.
· Ensure adequate supply of approved collateral material.
· Ensure marketing templates are created, updated, approved for use and distributed.
§ Obtain lists of prospects.
§ Create ACT! databases.
§ Create and modify mailers.
§ Track scheduling of mailers, seminars and sales persons responsibilities per the master marketing scheduler.
§ Develop PowerPoint presentations.
· Plan and conduct market research to identify opportunities for increased sales.
· Coordinate with Selectron’s Marketing Coordinator the analysis of marketing programs and recommendation to increase effectiveness.
· Coordinate and manage administrative support for Operations Department including submittal packages and follow-up of box sales flyers and mailers.
· Demonstrate a team spirit in all job related activities and communications with coworkers and customers.
· Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Word, ACT!, Excel, MS Pub, PageMaker, Photoshop, and PowerPoint software.
