Seeking a motivated Commercial Construction Buyer / Purchasing Agent

 Essential Job Functions

 

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.

 

Obtain and review supplier quotations and material submittals.

 

Negotiate price and payment terms with suppliers to meet company cost reduction initiatives.

 

Communicate with Project Management, A&E and Production to resolve material issues and provide procurement support.

 

Assist the Purchasing team with corporate material initiatives as required.

 

Work with vendors to ensure invoices match purchase orders.

 

 Minimum Job Requirements

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree a plus (or equivalent experience).

 

Experience: 2+ years in construction or manufacturing procurement preferred.

 

Required skills:

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong Microsoft Office application experience.

Strong interpersonal, negotiating and analytical skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to self manage.

 

Preferred skills:

Knowledge of construction procurement.Knowledge of Timberline Office and Prolog software systems a plus.
