Senior Director, Quality Safety & Site Security

SUMMARY: This position will support the Chief, Quality, Safety and Construction Security in implementing major capital projects within the MTACC. The incumbent will provide oversight, monitoring and evaluation of project and program area Quality, Safety and Construction Security programs, and services being performed on each of the projects for MTACC. Shall oversee a large program of work by consultants, contractors and MTACC staff and will be responsible for ensuring their compliance to quality, safety and construction security standards. Will maintain close working relationship with MTACC management, consultant, contractors, user group and oversight agencies to ensure compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee quality, safety and construction security activity for MTACC. Initiate actions to improve overall quality, safety and construction security, during design, construction and acceptance of projects. Supervise activities of Quality, Safety and Construction Security Directors. Formulate quality, safety and construction security policies and procedures. Lead in development and implementation of: quality, safety, construction security manuals and procedures method to evaluate and measure contractors, consultants and program area performance. external and internal audit program project management procedures training programs on quality, safety and construction security Enforce the application of standards, guidelines and procedures. Prepare reports and recommendations to senior management. Keep apprised of industry regional and nation trends and their potential influence on MTACC program.   QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to: implement effective quality, safety and construction security programs. ensure that processes and procedures are adequate. conduct reviews/oversight to validate adherence to all requirements. provide accurate and timely information. establish customer-oriented goals and benchmarks. Knowledge of: best practices implementation. design and construction of transportation systems. Superior interpersonal, writing and presentation skills. Rapid Transit construction related experience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in engineering, or related technical/construction disciplines. Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering/construction project controls (quality, safety and construction security) with at least 10 years in progressively responsible management roles.
