This principle guides us in every aspect of our operations, as it has since 1972.JOB SUMMARY:Applies diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related fields. Makes decisions independently regarding engineering complexities and methods. Requires use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices in the individual field. Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Consults with supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments. Typical duties and responsibilities include one or more of the following: 1) Supervises, coordinates, and reviews work of small staff of engineers and/or technicians; 2) as individual researcher or staff specialist, performs complex or novel assignments requiring development of new and/or improved techniques and procedures, 3) Assist in proposal preparation, 4) Lead engineer on large projects or multiple small projects, 5) Recognize and help mitigate project risk, 6) Find innovative, effective uses of computer applications for design engineering.BENEFITS: Health Insurance Dental Insuuance Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account Relocation costs covered 401k Requirements Desired Qualifications: Position requires knowledge of operations in the engineering design process. An understanding of a project anatomy and general nature of our business. Must be able to understand the relationship between project scope and budget, identify cost and schedule changes in own scope and communicate to appropriate team members. Must be able to maintain appropriate certifications or professional license. P.E. registration is required. Pulp and paper, chemical, and/or power project experience is a plus. Must have experience as a project design leader as well as checkout and commissioning.
