Senior Estimator

Summary of Position:  Sr. Estimator - ElectricalWe are looking for a committed, hardworking individual to perform all estimating and bid responsibilities.  We are seeking an individual who wishes to excel and possibly advance in position with a well established electrical contractor.Duties and Responsibilities:  May be assigned as required but may generally include:

·          Quantity surveys of all items in the scope of an electrical project (all phases).

·          Review bid documents and determine materials needed for the project.

·          Attain pricing for materials and labor from various vendors and sources; attain quotations for sub-contract work.

·          Prepare detailed take-offs.

·          Attend pre-bid meetings, when required.

·          Be familiar with procurement and bid requirements of customer.

·          Coordinate the collection of bid documentation of selected

·          Maintain the bid estimate schedule and follow up of same.

·          Review documents, copy appropriate plans, specifications in order to solicit prices form suppliers.

·          Summarize all prices, labor, time frames, etc. in order to complete the estimate for the most efficient and profitable application of manpower, material, and equipment. ·          Capable of performing value engineering, if required.

·          Continue to follow-up with various contractors in order to obtain contract for submitted bids.

·          After being awarded project, estimator works with project manager and superintendent to review the bid and plans for the project.

·          Assist in developing policies, procedures, and standards for estimation.

·          Market Company to developers, contractors, etc in order to obtain work; strong Business Development practices.

·          Review all numbers with Project Manager and President prior to equipment but.

·          Place customer satisfaction firs through support of corporate drive and vitality to succeed.

·          Travel as needed, if required.

 

Qualifications:  

·          Must have a minimum of 5 years Sr. Estimator experience in the electrical industry.

·          Extensive knowledge of Accubid or relevant and comparable estimation software.

·          Electrical estimating for large-scale commercial, industrial, institutional, underground utilities and healthcare related facility construction.

·          Commitment to Teamwork.

·          Willingness to carry out duties in accordance to company's policies and   procedures.

·          Ability to exemplify company's Core Values.

·          Knowledge of applicable law's and code.
