Senior Estimator - Commercial Construction

Our client is a well-established, growing, reputable Design, Build General Contractor that has an opportunity for an experienced Estimator in the commercial construction industry. We are looking for someone who can step in and immediately estimate both large and small commercial projects.  This position will be primarily responsible for the educational division dealing in elementary to high schools construction.

Job Requirements

 Five (5) plus years in estimating commercial construction projects;Must have experience with school/educational facility construction;Experience with medical facilities is a plus;Positive, hard working, can-do attitude;Experience in complete quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects; Computer skills including Excel and Microsoft Word. 

Essential Duties

 Create accurate and complete quantity take-offs from scratch for commercial construction projects dealing with mainly schools and some medical facilities;Input take-offs into an estimate format;Write bid proposals for projects and obtain bids from subcontractors;Maintain a bill of materials for each job including equipment, material, supplies and labor;Maintain current material and subcontractor pricing;Attend meetings with customers and Project Manager;Provide upper management with reports on bids won/lost;Meet productivity goals for bids produced, bids won and margin of error.
