This position will contribute as a technical expert for oil and gas refinery projects.Key Duties:• Oversee activities regarding overall facility design and process development including: coordinate and execute process engineering assignments; analyze all technical aspects of assigned projects and recommend design changes; define scope of project in accordance with client requirements; develop process budgets, schedules, and staffing plans for individual projects; evaluate vendor proposals for technical performance and make vendor recommendations; review and approve engineering data sheets, specifications and design drawings from other disciplines to assure compliance with process specifications.• Provide technical direction and assistance to less senior process personnel and assist in the training and development of the department staff.• Act as technical liaison with client engineering leads and staff to determine continued project staffing needs and evaluate project progress.• Participate in the development of diversified process engineering methods, techniques and criteria.Qualifications• BS in Chemical Engineering• 10+ years related process engineering experience heavy industries• Must be able to estimate discipline work required to execute various aspects of a multitude of project types.• Must be cognizant of the capabilities and limitations of various computer software packages and automated engineering and design methods to effectively direct their use for diverse assignments.• Strong written, analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.In addition to the basic qualifications, the ideal candidate would meet the following preferred qualifications:• Refinery engineering and hydro processing, heavy oil processing including coking and sulfur plant experience is strongly preferred.• Professional registration is preferred.Benefits: Medical and Dental Plans Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Short Term and Long Term Disability Income 401(k) Plan with company match Employee Ownership Paid Time Off Program Flexible Work Scheduling Business Casual Dress Learning and Development Opportunities Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Program Voluntary Auto and Homeowners InsuranceCompany Profile:Employee-owned CH2M HILL is a global leader in engineering, procurement, construction and operations for public and private clients.
