Long-term position located in Eastview, NY - approximatley 7 miles from White Plains.KEY DUTIES:Responsible for reviewing/analyzing and approving schedules submitted by the General Contractor and interfacing with the client concerning the schedules for the Prime Contractors and costs for the project.  Understand the project critical path and be able to articulate forward thinking based on monthly progress/status.Reviewing/analyzing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) schedules and budget data (including resource loading) for those WBS elements.Review all subcontractor and vendor change requests for cost and schedule impact.  Advise management of schedule risks that may affect project profit, costs, schedules and client relations.  Advises Project Management of the cost and schedule impact of proposed design changes.Takes the lead in the development and maintenance of any periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) status reports to keep management and/or owner informed on the project progress. These reports may include labor productivity, schedule status, financial analysis, Cost Performance Reports (CPR) and earned value curves reports on either direct or indirect construction activities that are a part of the work.Prepares earned value-based reports, reviews schedules and prepares cost analysis reports. Implements trend and change management programs. Assist with strategic initiatives within the CM JV.Provides mentoring and career development counseling for junior level project controls staff.Must be able to exercise independent and professional judgment in solving problems and coordinating issues as it relates to cost and schedules' and exercise independent judgment in dealing with clients, subcontractors and team partners in solving cost and scheduling problems..Be competent in ability to manage large data volume as it relates to the project scheduleBe comfortable with importing and exporting to and from P3 version 3.1Be patient and flexible and have strong interpersonal skills.Be able to work within a multi prime environment in New YorkBe comfortable in analyzing a resource/cost loaded mega project with multiple interim milestones. 12 years planning/scheduling and cost engineering experience required.  Project Controls experience in a construction and engineering environment.QualificationsBachelors Degree12 years planning/scheduling and cost engineering experience required. Project Controls experience in a construction and engineering environment. Hands-on exp with Primavera Project Planner (P3) version 3.1 and P3e/c/P.5/P.6 Hands-on experience setting up basic construction schedules. Hands-on exp with resource loading & earned value management systems. Must possess technical and practical application of estimating, pricing and costing. Experience with Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project SoftwareBackground Check RequiredIn addition to the basic qualifications, the ideal candidate would meet the following preferred qualifications:BS OR MS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or Finance. 12+ years experience in Project Controls.
