We are seeking seasoned construction professionals to manage/estimate multiple commercial design build projects in the $1-5M range. Scope of Responsibility: Primary responsibility is to assist the Project General Manager in the overall management, coordination and control of the project. Responsibilities include client interface, client satisfaction, job order contract administration; cost estimates; proposals; subcontractor agreements; staffing and schedules; coordination with project architects and engineers; project meetings; and project records and documents.In the absence of the Project General Manager, function in that capacity. Managing delivery order execution in accordance with contract requirements and project management procedures Attend pre-issuance site visits for each job order to determine existing conditions, develop client needs in detail, and develop preliminary approximations of types of materials to be used and basic quantity counts. Prepare hard bid estimates for each job order based on technical specifications and drawings or sketches; where feasible provide possible value engineering suggestions. Confirm that all necessary materials and supplies are included in the scope of work and that unnecessary items are excluded. Prepare quantity take-offs and enter line items into on-site computer containing the pre-established unit prices. Develop pricing for non-scheduled line items. Solicit detailed proposal information from at least three vendors and/or subcontractors with all supporting documentation on equipment, material and labor costs for material or equipment not covered in an industry standard manual or for work to be performed by a subcontractor. Required Skills and Responsibilities B.S. degree in engineering, construction, or related field Minimum eight years experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor performing senior estimating duties and supervising personnel Experience in assisting in management and coordination direct hire crafts and multiple subcontractors· Strong expertise estimating hard bid and lump sum projects Should be proficient using estimating software systems Requires experience performing Design Build projects Requires experience running projects in the $1-5M range Must be an experienced CPM Scheduler Expertise of construction means and methods· Good understanding of principles, methods, and techniques of architectural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering Good oral and written communications skills Must be a US Citizen For quick consideration apply here
