Senior Survey Technician - Maritime Industry

Rapid growth of this very stable, customer-focused leader in preventive maintenance programs and analytical services to the maritime industry has created an opportunity for an experienced survey technician.  The qualified individual will be responsible for conducting on-site surveys and/or performing inspections of client’s machinery and electrical panels.  Five (5) plus years experience in a similar position and excellent customer service skills may qualify you for this opportunity.  This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.

 

Essential Duties:

 

·  Conduct on-site condition monitoring (vibration) surveys of client’s machinery;

·  Perform thermographic inspections of client’s electrical panels;

·  Trouble shoot, resolve relevant issues and perform data collection of relevant data relating to machinery, panels and histories of repair ;

·  Submit preliminary data analysis and data collected to appropriate personnel and to the home office;

·  Documentation of activities for billing and payment in a timely fashion;

·  Developing, monitoring and adhering safety standards and procedures.

 

Essential Job Experience:

 

·  Thorough knowledge of and experience with similar types of maritime related machinery and electrical panels;

·  Condition monitoring (vibration) survey experience required;

·  Knowledge of thermographic inspections is highly desired;

·  Exceptional customer service skills;

·  Complete understanding of the methods and practices of the industry;

·  Solution based problem solving ability.
