Senior Water Resources Engineer

We are seeking a senior water resources engineer to work on projects involving water supply planning, surface water modeling, watershed hydrology, and hydraulic calculations. You will provide project management and technical leadership on a variety of water resources projects.  Join our team and bring your engineering skills to help shape the future of water resources in the Rocky Mountain region.

 

Responsibilities:

· Project manager for mid-size projects and/or technical leader for portions of large projects involving water resources, including hydrologic investigations, planning, surface and ground water modeling, water allocation modeling, permitting, and water rights engineering projects.

· Direct the technical research, calculations, and investigations of junior engineers

· Assist in coordinating, evaluating and incorporating specialty activities of subconsultants.

· Assist in marketing potential clients and projects.

· Assist in determining project fee and scope proposals for new work.

 

Qualifications:

· Minimum 10 years experience as a planning engineer or lead project engineer on water resources investigations, modeling projects, and water rights engineering projects

· Must be able to plan, develop, coordinate, and direct high-visibility large projects or several smaller projects with complex features

· Must be a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado, or have qualifications and experience to acquire registration within one year

· Master of Science in Civil Engineering or related field required

· Excellent writing and interpersonal skills

· Proven business development capabilities

· Prefer knowledge of  Colorado markets, especially Colorado water resources issues including Prior Appropriations Doctrine and drought planning
