Service Sales Coordinator-Commercial Construction

Harmon is looking for a professional and motivated individual to lead our sales efforts in our Tampa, FL office.  This position will require 80-100% travel on a daily basis to maintain relationships and establish new customers by face-to-face interaction.  In our competitive business of selling Harmon Services we need an individual with the dedication to continually seek out our desired customers for the opportunities that Harmon specializes in. 

Job Description:

SUMMARY

Primary contact to support service renovation and new construction business; establishes and creates customer relationships and coordinates with other departments to estimate and prepare bids.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

 

Train with shop and field to gain an overall understanding of the company operations to effectively sell the services that are offered.

 

Maintain established customer relationships through face-to-face interaction, while building additional customer base.

 

Interface with vendors to learn about their business and to determine needs of customer not met by standard products.

 

Maintain a daily log for sales call reporting and tracking customer sales.

 

Coordinate with production personnel to determine feasibility of fabrication and to obtain an estimate of cost and production time.

 

Work with estimating team to assist in preparing estimates, including pictorial and material takeoffs.

 

Assist in collaborative bidding between sales and operations departments.

 

Assist in preparing proposals, terms and conditions, and presentations for submission with bids.

 

Review bid documents.

 

Maintain relationship with the customer to resolve questions and issues during the bidding process.

 

Attend and participate in transition meetings with project management once a project is sold.

 

Participate and become actively involved with Service Associations such as BOMA.

 

Other duties may be assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three years to five years experience in commercial construction sales.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Computer skills should include working knowledge of Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and experience using the Internet.
