Service Technician - Overhead Crane

In business since 1932, we are a recognized leader in our field. Currently, we are seeking a Field Service Technician for our Charlotte, NC location.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair of hoist and crane equipment. Breakdown calls require troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components and circuits.

JOB SPECIFICS:

Troubleshoot, repair and inspect overhead cranes and hoists. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment. Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs. Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements. Keeps overhead crane systems operating by; performing inspection process; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; responding to repair calls. Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist. Builds and maintains customer confidence by maintaining good response time, informing customer of problems, and completing the job in a timely manner. PAY AND BENEFITS:

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills. Good mechanical and fabrication skills. Ability to work under pressure and deadlines. 2 years work experience with similar types of equipment in a manufacturing environment. High School diploma or equivalent. Good driving record.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONSIDERATIONS:

Work various environments and working conditions depending on assignment. Occasional overtime & weekends required. Some overnight travel required. Working at heights & some heavy lifting.
