Boomerang Systems, Inc. was born from the creative mind of Stan Checketts, founder and CEO of S&S Power, Inc. a leader in the amusement ride industry.  From the expertise and talents developed through S&S Power, Boomerang Systems has developed a cost effective solution for Automated Parking and Self Storage.  Boomerang Systems handles all projects in-house from design and prototype to production.

We are seeking two SolidWorks drafters / designers to support our engineering department in designing and detailing all aspects of our systems including structure, mechanical, hydraulic and electro mechanical.

 

Qualifications:2+ years SolidWorks experience (For experienced candidate). SolidWorks training/schooling (For entry level candidate). Experience with PDM Works or any other document Control system a plus. Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc). Understanding of mechanical components. Familiarity with structural steel elements a plus. Must be Self Motivated and independent worker. Willingness to work in a shop environment when prototyping/improving products. Ability to work well under tight timelines.

 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Working with engineering team to create solid models of our products. Participating in discussions with our vendors and suppliers to incorporate their input into our product designs. Working with the engineering team to support design and analyses of our products. Working with shop personnel to improve products & manufacturing processes. Working with shop personnel to ensure quality and accuracy of fabricated parts. Create detailed designs of components and sub assemblies using SolidWorks modeling software while incorporating best available manufacturing practices.
