Sr. Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Design - PE

A leading international design firm is searching for a senior level HVAC design engineer for its growing health care/hospital design and consulting business. The desired candidate's background will have a heavy emphasis on health care facilities/hospital design coupled with strong design skills and a track record of excellent client relations.The ideal candidate will have BSME, PE and a minimum of 10 plus years experience in the design and engineering of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial, institutional, governmental and healthcare facilities. Responsibilities would include assuring quality control, fee development, timely billing and collection of project fees.This Senior Engineer will: - Undertake design of mechanical systems including: heating, cooling, heat rejection, air distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls. - Prepare drawings detailing the system designed. - Perform System design calculations. - Select equipment for use in building systems. - Create reports - Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines. - Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them. - Incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings.
