Statistical Analyst

Ohio Department of Transportation seeks individual to conduct statistical analysis for construction contract bidding to determine and identify variances or trends in bids, pricing, and bid patterns with education or experience in engineering, cost estimation and/or working with heavy highway contractors.

Minimum requirements: The ideal candidate must have completed the undergraduate core program in business, public administration or an academic field of study commensurate with program area to be assigned with 1 year experience in research, analysis and written documentation of findings.  Or 3 years training or experience in research, analysis and written documentation of findings.  Preferred Job Qualifications include education or experience in engineering, cost estimating and/or working with heavy highway contractors; statistics, economics, and/or mathematics; knowledge of SAS programming and databases; experience with economic, market, and/or bid analysis; and excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
