Subcontractor Assistant

Shimmick takes on challenging projects and performs high-quality work ranging from expanding/constructing water treatment plants to building a BART station to retrofitting the Golden Gate Bridge.


SCCI is in need of a Subcontractor Assistant for our Oakland office.  A successful applicant will have:

1-2 years of experience with a construction company with either multi-company or multi-project experience.


Required Skills


Practical knowledge of accounts payable functions and procedures.

Accuracy in data entry

Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial information.


Ability to operate computerized accounting and filing software, Microsoft Professional Office which will include spreadsheet, word processing programs and email at a highly proficient level.

Responsibilities

Maintaining and verifying insurance requirements
Set up and maintain subcontractor files
Compile and verify paperwork to fund subcontractor
Assist the Accounts Payable Manager as assigned.
