Assistant Regional Technical ManagerSika Sarnafil manufactures high quality, single ply roofing and waterproofing membranes.  With over 40 years experience, Sika Sarnafil's roofing and waterproofing systems are recognized for their ability to withstand the test of time.  Our solutions are successful and we service our customers by providing beneficial support in the form of comprehensive design review and technical advice during construction.  We currently have an opening for an Assistant Regional Technical Manager in our Lemont, IL regional office. We are looking for an energetic individual  with a 2 – 4 year degree in an engineering, construction, or building design related field, or a minimum of 3 years related work experience with single-ply applications.  The candidate will be responsible for the coordination of project specific information, assisting the Regional Technical Manager communication of Sika Sarnafil’s requirements and dissemination of technical information to our contractor, specifiers, owner, and consultant customers, as well as our sales and field technical staff This position also handles administration duties required for successful project completion.  Some overnight travel will be required on occasion.  This position reports to the Regional Technical Manager.The duties will include:·  Answer telephone calls and provide technical and sales information to contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, owners and Sarnafil sales and technical staff ·  Set up and maintain project specific files and database, and verify accuracy of submitted information as required   ·  Assist in the warranty issuing procedure ·  Handle general correspondence relating to specific projects ·  Assist Technical Manager with a variety of tasks pertaining to technical dept. duties ·  Job site visits and field investigations as required ·  Assist field technical representatives as needed ·  Follow safety procedures and regulations and company environmental policy ·  Other duties as assigned You need to have:·  2 year Associates or 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in preferably engineering, construction or building design ·  3 -5 years of relevant work experience in the construction industry, preferably with singe-ply applications ·  Computer literate (Windows Applications with strong Word, Excel and database software skills) ·  CAD experience a bonus We are looking for the following skills:·  Good communication and customer service skills ·  Highly organized and detail-oriented ·  Friendly personality with good follow up skills ·  Professional telephone manner ·  Teamwork attitude, flexibility a must Sika Sarnafil offers a comprehensive benefit package including competitive salary, profit sharing, medical and dental insurance, flexible spending and dependant care plans, and an excellent 401(K) program and tuition reimbursement.
