Transportation/Roadway Project Manager

PROJECT MANAGER POSITION AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING CITY:CAPE CORAL, FLThe successful candidate must have 7+ years experience in transportation/roadway engineering and have hands on experience in civil engineering, specifically with roadway and bridge design and constructability. The ability and willingness to interact with clients consisting of municipal governments, developers and private clients. - Professional Engineer (PE) registration is strongly preferred.- Experience or interest in assisting in constructability design meetings a must- Must be able to work independently with some supervision. - Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.- Vertical market (commercial construction) experience a plus. Essential job functions include but are not limited to:- Assist in analyzing Subcontractor quotations for assembly of GMP.- Assist in preparation of GMP for presentation to Owner.- Present information at Owner's meeting for specific projects.- Attend and contribute information at weekly jobsite meeting.- Provide oversight and direction for construction related issues.- Provide engineering analysis for pre and post bid design issues.- Provide oversight for preparation of Maintenance of Traffic plans related to construction schedule and sequence.- Advise at design progress meetings with CCC and design engineer.- Assist in preparation of construction scope sections for subcontractor bid proposals for preparation of GMP.- Assisted in preparation of Subcontractor prequalification/past performance survey for qualification of potential Subcontractors.--------------------------------------------------------------------- Creates and manages project's budget. - Knows and understands the requirements of owner's contract, including bonds, fees, notifications, schedules, reporting, and costs. - Develops and completes monthly Projected Final Cost Report (PFR) and Labor Cost Report(LCR) projections on time. - Creates Project Incentive Compensation Plan.- Manages the subcontracting process, which includes holding initial scope review meetings, finalizing agreed price, developing subcontract scope of work, and managing the subcontract distribution and final execution process.- Collaborates with scheduling, superintendent, subcontractors, and suppliers to create a construction schedule.- Reviews the contract documents with all project participants (e.g., customers, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, government regulators, utilities) to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.- Coordinates and delivers all requirements for subcontractors and suppliers to meet project schedules. - Responsible for project administration and daily operations. - Prepares and maintains the project schedule, milestone dates, and close-out checklist. - Ensures that project site and company assets are secure and maintains a safe and respectful working environment at all times by implementing programs for safety and loss prevention, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), risk management, training, and quality control.- Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.- Actively participates in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image.- Makes presentations to proactively seek new business opportunities through relationships. - BS in Civil Engineering / Transportation Engineering or related field a must. - 7+ years of work experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning.- LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED Location: Ft.
