Used Equipment Sales Manager

Ransome Cat is currently seeking a Used Equipment Sales Manager to join their Construction Sales Department.  Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience evaluating, marketing and selling heavy construction equipment in a used equipment operation doing $20 Million or more annually in revenue, with at least half of the business transacted with end users.

 

Utilizing their knowledge of all types of heavy construction equipment, this person will become the primary source of reliable used equipment for customers globally. Proven successful experience selling used equipment and willingness to travel are a must.

 

Responsibilities:

•  Establish values on possible trade-in

•  Purchase used equipment for sale and rental

•  Sell and assist in selling used equipment

•  Manage Used Equipment personnel

•  Maximize used equipment inventory turn

 

Operational Functions:

•  Research and evaluate the value of used equipment for possible trade

•  Locate used equipment for purchase

•  Establish and maintain relationships with Cat Dealers and other equipment suppliers in USA and overseas

•  Establish selling price on used equipment

•  Develop marketing strategies for used equipment

•  Evaluate each used equipment machine for maximum ROA

•  Review and address aged inventory

•  Respond to used equipment inquiries in a timely manner

•  Manage and coach used equipment personnel to be positive and effective
