Wastewater Plant Operator I

Job Objective - Reporting directly to Plant Superintendent, the Grade I Plant Operator has full responsibility for assisting with the successful operation and maintenance of the water reclamation facility.

 

Please note working hours are second shift - 4 p.m.-Midnight

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

 Operate centrifuge and process solidsPerform equipment operation and maintenanceTroubleshoot process and equipment problemsRead metersAnalyze lab testsInterpret and report dataCommunicate any problems/issues to supervisorPromote and adhere to PERC’s written corporate Safety program

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

 

1. General computer knowledge a plus; good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a bonus.

 

2. Team working ability to enable effective interaction with other PERC personnel, including peers.

 

3. Physical:

· Body Positions:  Standing, sitting for extended periods of time, walking.

· Body Movements:  Use of hands, eyes, arms and voice.  Must be able to lift up to

· 40 pounds. 

· Must be able to climb up and down stairs and climb ladders

· Willingness to travel a plus

· Willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as necessary

 

  Mental: 

  Language ability includes reading, writing, spelling, and the ability to communicate

  clearly on business topics in English. 

 

Education, Professional Credentials and Experience

 

1. AZ Grade I Wastewater Certification required

2. 1 year of previous experience in water reclamation facility operation preferred

3. Valid (State) driver’s license

4. Degree a plus but not required
