Water Resource/Civil Project Manager
Lim & Nascimento Engineering Corporation is a California Engineering firm with its professional practice exclusively in the planning, design, and construction management of highways, freeways, roadways, interchanges, highway bridges, railroad bridges, railroad grade separations, a wide variety of water crossings, and, at times, one-of-a-kind transportation facilities.
Lim & Nascimento Engineering Corporation has an immediate open position as a Water Resource/Civil Project Manager for our Lake Forest office. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors or Master degree in civil engineering, must be registered as a P.E. in California, and have 7+ years of experience in planning, design for municipal and highway projects.
Candidate will be responsible for the municipal and highway projects as well as drainage plans, storm water quality and erosion control plans. Candidate will be working with a team of project engineers and as an oversight for project scheduling, budgets, deadlines and internal quality control. As a manager, provide training, leadership and mentorship throughout all phases of the projects for junior members of the team.
In addition, a competitive personality-type and over-the-top work ethic relative to client satisfaction is highly desired. Must be a strong leader with good management, communication (written and oral) and technical skills. Responsibilities will include: understanding and managing the client’s expectations while maintaining a successful track record of project delivery.
Qualifications/Experience/Educational Requirements:
· Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
· Registered P.E. in California is a must
·7+ years total experience, 4+ years of multi-project management
· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Access, Visio, Powerpoint)
· Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
· Strong leadership abilities and effective written and oral communication skills
· Assessing risk, identifying solutions on how to mitigate and managing high risk areas of project development
· Experience driving a project from inception to completion by oneself, with proven disciplines
· Ability to develop mitigation alternatives and effectively implement mid course project management changes to maintain key milestone dates
· Serving as point of escalation for issue resolution
· Must have excellent technical knowledge of all aspects of drainage, floodplain analysis, and report writing
· Hands-on aptitude with Microstation, In-Raods and all drainage software such as HEC-RAS, CivilD, AES, WSPGN, HEC 12, HEC 14.
· Must have strong experience working with local flood control agencies.
