Wind Turbine Construction Manager

Sustainable EnergyDevelopments, Inc. (www.sed-net.com ) is a progressive, worker-owned business focused on developing decentralized wind energy projects throughout the northeastern US.

 

The employer is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined person to perform a variety of tasks, which includes frequent travel in the northeast.  Prior construction management experience is required, but specific wind technology training can be  provided. 

 

Work will consist of managing the installation and commissioning of single wind turbines (100kW to 1500kW) as part of a 2-3 person crew that will spend the majority of its time in the field during the work week, from May through late November.  The company will provide for all meals, transport, equipment and lodging. 

 

Specific tasks will include: subcontractor selection, hiring,contracting and oversight; materials & equipment procurement; personnel management and assignments; design stage reviews; as well as project budgets and schedules.  Other necessary job components include client and customer relations, computer skills, problem solving and working flexible hours. 

 

Salary will be commensurate with level of experience in specific wind turbine technology.  Health & dental benefits are included.
