ARCHITECTURAL CADD/STARTS MANAGER

Base salary starts at $45,000 for a fully qualified candidate.

 

Requirements - Please Don't Apply Unless You Meet These

 

- AA degree in Architect or Residential Construction/CADD,

- Exceptional AutoCad skills, with knowledge of ADT,

- Four (4) years experience in single family construction drawings in Texas,

- Strong Microsoft skills,

- Knowledge of Microsoft Project Manager strongly preferred,

- Strong scheduling and management skills, ability to meet deadlines with quality products,

- Team player with good communication skills

- Positive attitude, self-starter

 

Responsibilities:

 Oversee the production and maintenance of master drawing sets for the Texas region. Oversee the production of lot specific permit sets and plot plans for Texas divisions in Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas.  Review and maintain department schedules, trackers, and checklists and coordinate the work of the drafting staff accordingly.  Assist the VP of Architecture with the oversight and management of the department workload.  Manage individual projects including scheduling and staffing as required.  Coordinate and drive the work turnaround of outside engineering consultants.  Review and coordinate the timely resolution of building department rejections. Provide quality checking for starts packages and master plan sets.  Represent the Regional Architectural group at divisional meetings.  Enforce and improve CADD standards for the region.  Oversee and check the production of sales brochure graphics.  Travel to divisions to conduct construction frame walks of new plans and coordinate changes to the master sets.  Approximately 15% travel required
