**ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER**COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION**

MCCI is experiencing yet another year of growth and we are looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to our dynamic team.  MCCI is headquartered in SW Florida and specializes in Interior Retail Build-outs and renovations.  This position will include extensive travel; projects are approximately 14-16 weeks long and located throughout the United States.

JOB DESCRIPTION:




-Assist Sr. Project Manager is Bidding, Plan Review and Estimating
-Exercise discretion and creativity in resolving construction discrepancies

-Continually verify that all construction activities are on schedule

-Place and track materials orders for multiple projects
-Negotiate pricing for materials and/or suppliers
-Liaison between subcontractors, tenant coordinator, client and MCCI management
-Travel will include, but not limited to; jobsite visits, Client turns, and Design Transfer Meetings

-Under direction of the Project Manager, ensure that all phases of construction are completed on time, and within budget

-Identify construction plan discrepancies and communicate potential problems to the Project Manager in a timely manner

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

-Preferred, 5 years of field commercial construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity

-Candidate must have a thorough understanding of commercial construction practices and standards

-Candidate must have above average communication skills, both written and verbal

-Candidate must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret all blueprints, spec books, RFI's, and other construction documents

-Candidate must have a basic knowledge of computer operations, ie. email, attachments, Internet.  MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
