Accounting Specialist/Bookkeeper

A growing company located in Mooresville, N.C. is looking for a full charge bookkeeper/accounting assistant with strong related experience in the accounting industry.  We are looking for the individual with a minimum of two years of corporate accounting experience with all general ledger accounts and processes.

 

Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant responsibilities:

§    General bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities (A/P, A/R, Cost entries, bank reconciliations)

§    All aspects of cost accounting to trial balance

§    Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

§    In-house payroll processing, and government related filings, including 1099 Misc

§    Reconcile payroll balance sheets monthly, quarterly, annually

§    E-filing of government tax forms for payroll and corporate taxes

§    Support controller with all accounting functions

 

Job qualifications:

§    Expertise in Quick Books, MS Office, MS Excel

§    Experience with other construction software i.e. Timberline or Mark Systems is a plus but not required

§    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

§    Excellent attention to details and accuracy in reporting
