Accounts Payable Specialist

Granger Contracting Company is a leader in the industry by providing installation services for various types of retail environments across the United States.  Granger is based in St. Louis, MO.  We have a position available for an Accounts Payable Specialist. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for:Process for approving invoices for payment to the correct general ledger accountRecords credit card entries by transaction Run aging report weekly and select invoices for paymentGenerate A/P checks, match with the corresponding invoices, and ensure they all have the proper approval before payment is madeProvide high quality customer service to external vendors in regards to payment statusReview and process vendor statements and credit memosMaintain AP files for paid invoicesComplete and fax credit applications as requestedAssist with year-end 1099’s for vendors

 

Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities:

 

The Accounts Payable Specialist must possess:At least High School Degree 2 or more years of experience in Accounts PayableIntermediate experience in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and InternetAdvanced organizational skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to take initiative on tasksAbility to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time
