Asphalt Sealcoating & Striping Technician

Job Purpose:

Sealcoating includes prepping area to be sealed by pressure washing, sweeping, or cleaning by use of water truck.

Sealing includes brooming, edging and applying water based emulsifier to area using equipment such as brooms, edgers and tank sprayer.

Line striping requires using walk behind striping machines to apply paint markings on asphalt.  Includes parking stalls, hashouts, handicap signs, and all other symbols requing painting.

Duties:

*  Perform tasks involving physical labor at job site.

*  May operate hand and power tools of all types.

*  Requires considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and handling of materials.

* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Skills/Qualifications:

Must be able to work outdoors, varying weather conditions.

Requires some overtime and weekend work.

Requires current Idaho Drivers License with clean record.
