Assistant Superintendent

Collegiate Development Services is a firm specializing in the development, construction, and management of student housing. CDS is located in the Las Colinas area of Irving, TX. CDS offers a full complement of benefits including comprehensive insurance and 401(k). CDS is currently seeking an Assistant Superintendent with the responsibilities listed below.



Responsibilities:

 Assists project Superintendent in subcontractor coordination and schedulingInspects job site for adherence to OSHA safety standards, reports, logs, and issues violations. Familiar with company safety plan.Assist project superintendent in compiling subcontractor daily reports and creating CCS daily log at superintendent’s direction.Inspect all subcontractors work to be in compliance with applicable building codes.Inspect and log erosion control systems.

 Self starter who is results oriented and understands the sense of  ‘urgency’ to complete a project within scheduleCommitment to the highest ethical standardsExcellent MS Excel skills and proficiency with other MS Office applications Knowledge in CPM scheduling and related software is a plus Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Desire to join a small, fast growing company with tremendous growth potentialAbility to travel as needed

 

 

Education and Experience:

 Undergraduate degree in Construction Management or related fieldField related experience is preferred
