POSITION DETAILS
We are searching for the right candidate to join our team as a Benefits Administrator for our Corporate Office.
Primary objectives of this position are:
The Benefits Administrator is the key contact for management, employees and vendors on program implementation, maintenance, and employee communication. The incumbent is also involved in benefit design and development to keep benefit programs competitive to attract and retain employees.

- Employee Relations/Communication
Primary responsibilities:
- Assist employees and their families by answering benefit questions and providing resolutions to problems. Act as liaison between employees and vendors.
- Develop benefits communication.
- Monitors benefit costs and competitiveness of benefits program.
- Work with the VP of HR on driving Benefit Committee meetings and follow-up. Complete minutes.
- Train and assist HR Representative’s in each Division
- Maintain and monitor the personnel/benefits files and benefit software records on status changes.
- Coordinate benefits with insurance companies. Generate and pay all bills.
- Open Enrollment and New Hire Orientation – assists in revisions and administers at Corporate.
- Coordinate pension plan calculations, distributions and maintain records for future pensions.
- Administer 401k plan including employee education, distributions, and rollovers. Distribute Annual Reports for 401k and Pension.
- Complete 401k and pension plan testing in conjunction with vendor.
- Partner with vendor on design of Employee Benefits Statements
- Provide data to vendor to prepare 5500’s.
- Manages Leave Administration (STD/LTD/FMLA) and Worker’s Compensation claims.
- Administer COBRA
- Provide back-up for payroll administration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or meets the requirement for number of years related experience
- Three to five years experience in benefits administration
- Excellent interpersonal, writing and analytical skills and computer literacy required
- Ability to multi-task
- Customer Service Orientation
