Build Fountains and Ponds – Team Member



Harmony Ponds, Inc. designs, builds and maintains commercial and residential water features throughout the greater Washington, DC area.  In business since 1995, we have won local and international awards for the artistry and quality of our fountains, ponds, waterfalls and streams.  We are a growing business and are looking for the right people to grow with us.  Our office is in Fairfax, Virginia.  Harmony Ponds is a drug-free workplace with pre-employment testing.



The Build Division of Harmony Ponds is looking for workers with practical skills to join its fountain and water feature installation teams.  This is a construction job, generally at large building sites in the greater Washington, DC area.  Since we promote from within, the position could lead to a team leader and ultimately, project manager career path.

 Requirements



Our most important requirement is ATTITUDE -- which starts with the ability to arrive at the job site on time, every day, and do a good job.  It includes working as part of a team and contributing to its efforts, with a desire to be helpful.



Applicants need some background in hands-on labor tasks.  Knowledge and experience in plumbing would be very helpful, but we will train.



Possessing a valid driver’s license and an automobile are essential requirements.





Responsibilities



-  Assist the team leader or project manager in various tasks.

-  Move and install PVC pipe of varying sizes.  Help position pipes and glue them to fittings.

-  Work in trenches as necessary. 

-  Load and unload materials and equipment.

-  Help in the installation of gravel and boulders.

-  Take on increasing responsibilities with time and experience.
