Construction Procurement Leader

Clayco, a full-service real estate development, design and construction firm, is seeking an experienced Procurement Professional to design, develop, and implement a procurement process that leverages our buying power across the nation.

Experience in construction procurement in addition to the responsibilities listed below would make you an ideal candidate for this opportunity.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

· Negotiating contracts, agreements, and/or pricing schedules for services, industrial supplies and equipment.

· Develop, implement and track key performance indicators for assigned categories/suppliers, and conduct market research and benchmarking efforts to identify market trends and best practices specific to the construction industry.

· Establishing purchasing policies, procedures and standards.

· Maintaining accurate financial records and reports for informational, auditing and operational use.

· Negotiate strategic, high-level business relationships and determine operating protocol with vendors for goods and services.

· Be a resource on contractual issues to internal customers and senior leadership.

· Provide cost justifications, recommendations on procurement direction, and communicate this effectively to senior leadership.

· Identify and define best methods for procurement of goods and services.

 

 

 

 Education and Experience:

 Bachelor’s Degree required5+ years of experience in contract negotiation and RFP development.Skilled with Vendor Management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Procurement experience in the construction industry preferred but not required.
