Your responsibilities would include: Estimating costs based on review of architectural drawings and plans Soliciting bids from sub-contractors for specialty trade items and comparing bids to estimates in order to minimize project cost Preparing bid summaries for project costs and presenting them to the Regional VP Managing multiple projects simultaneously each day Allocating a monthly budget of up to $1 million across multiple projectsWhat kind of candidate are we looking for?Sound like the job for you? Here are a few things we’re looking for in the right candidate: Must have extensive experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent in commercial construction Strong decision making, organizational and problem-solving skills preferred Advanced mathematical skills (cost estimate, area calculation, cost monitoring) a MUST Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture required Tenant improvement experience is necessary Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and contracts Must have a solid understanding of office space planning, design, buy outs, scheduling, managing subcontractors and estimating acquired through previous experience Must be able to travel throughout a territory across the Seattle area (no overnights) Solid understanding of HVAC, building construction, electrical systems and state and local building codes preferred Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and PDA device preferredWhat’s so great about this job, anyway?You’ll be trusted to tackle projects from start to finish as you enjoy tremendous potential to advance with a team that continues to grow with the company’s portfolio.
