Essential Job Duties:Responsible for initial project QC implementation and staffing solutionsFunction primarily in a project startup role at varying sites around the country with the ability travel, QC staff training, project oversight, and direct QA/QC managementPlan for work activities by studying the contract, plans, specifications, and approved submittalsPerform quality control and/or building code inspections on Military Housing construction projects to confirm compliance with the construction documents and the building codes/standards as set forth in the ContactMaintain data base for inspection data and reportingCoordinate the timely completion of all punch list issues with the responsible contractor and/or branchEnsure that all inspection scheduling is compatible with Customer requirements and accomplished with timeliness and thoroughnessUtilize shop drawings and product data to ensure that the correct materials are installed and installation complies with the contract and manufacturer instructionsPrepare and maintain daily reports of quality control activities and submit daily to OwnerReport all construction issues and deficiencies without prejudiceMonitor the ongoing work is in compliance with the contractPerform all milestone inspections necessary for a comprehensive inspection system that checks 100% of the work Required Skills
Requirements:College degree in Construction Management, Construction or Building Technology, Engineering Technology, or Civil/Structural Engineering preferred5 years in commercial construction, QC, code compliance, or construction trade supervisory experience preferredMust be able to travel to and temporarily relocate to project sites across the countryMust be experienced in standard construction practices as well as International Building Code (IBC), NFPA, and NEC codesMust have excellent communication skills, organized, detail oriented, and self motivatedHave basic computer skills including the use of MS Office, AutoCAD experience a plusAble to read, speak, write, and understand the English languageMaintain or receive CPR/First Aid CertificationMaintain or receive OSHA 30 Hour certificationMust be approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (security clearance for Military construction projects) Required Experience
