Data Center Manager

Lehigh Hanson is seeking one (1) qualified Data Center Manager for its Irving, TX location. This roll manages the operation of all regional Data Center locations and associated Enterprise Systems (Unix) within Heidelberg Cement. Significant opportunities for cost reduction exist as the result of changing technology and the integration Hanson and Heidelberg technologies. At the same time, the integration of Hanson will create increased demand on such technology as the result of business/BIS initiatives. This position will manage the consolidation and reduction of the number of servers by way of virtualization within the combined company in order to minimize costs, while at the same time supporting all business/ IT BIS initiatives. This position has 6 direct reports. Lehigh Hanson is one of the world's largest suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We are part of the Heidelberg Cement Group, which employs 70,000 people across five continents and has leading positions in concrete and heavy building products and is the global leader in aggregates.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS: • Manage personnel within the specific region that the role is based• Consolidation of hardware from remote locations to central Data Centers.• Ensure electrical, Air conditioning and fire suppression is adequate in all regional locations.• Manage the real estate for all Data Center locations.• Ensure license compliance for associated products• Manage maintenance contracts for all associated components• Supporting IT BIS initiatives, specifically for the purpose of sizing and installing ERP applications.• Ensuring a proper operating environment for associated hardware.• Ensure best practice across the regional locations• Provides direction to those responsible for Intel operations in other Heidelberg regions.• Responsible for the issuance of policies and standards for all HC operations.• Responsible for equipment and licensing with a value exceeding $31 million.• Develops key KPI’s and sets goals based on same.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• At least 7 years of overall IT experience• At least two years experience managing relevant environments,• At least three years experience in an IT role supporting a multi-national environment.• Minimum of two years management experience in a similar role.• Current knowledge of data center, server, storage, Unix and Windows technologies.Current knowledge of the requirements of major applications in use within Heidelberg, including SAP, JDE, Oracle eBusiness and Command Alkon.• SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) Compliance.BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:We know that our employees are critical to our overall success.
