Superintendent Needed for Data Centers Special Projects Division! THE COMPANYWe are retained by a General Contractor to locate a Superintendent Data Centers Special Projects Division for their team in San Jose! This GC specializes in negotiated design/build projects, focusing much of their efforts on offices, education, hotels, healthcare, retail, multi-family, interiors, etc. This company also comes with a stable history and has a backlog of business to support its future growth. Our Client has been providing full service construction management and general contracting services to clients throughout the West Coast and Pacific Northwest for more than 40 years. The range of these services and in-house expertise include General Contracting, Construction Management, Design-Build, LEED Certification Assistance and Equipment Procurement. THE POSITIONThe Superintendent supervises the field construction of a project. Assists in the organizing, planning and scheduling of the works staying within budget and to the quality specified. Protect and promote the interest of the company in all matters. Plan and review the project work with the Project Superintendent. Provide input on jobsite logistics, organization, plant layout, equipment and manpower utilization. Prepare work schedules and keep them updated. -Assist the Project Superintendent in scheduling and expediting the delivery of materials and equipment for their timely on-site delivery. Coordinate, direct, and monitor the activities of subcontractors and suppliers. Assist the Project Superintendent in establishing and maintaining good safety and security practices for the entire project in accordance with company safety program. QUALIFICATIONSFour-year college degree with at least four years of formal engineering or architectural training or equivalent experience and at least 6 years of building construction experience required. Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications. Computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft office and knowledge of Primavera scheduling desirable. Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of accounting and cost control procedures. COMPENSATIONThe client is offering a base salary between $100,000- $125,000 based on experience, plus a 10-25% bonus, relocation if necessary, vehicle, gas card, health insurance, 401K and more.
