Installation/Maintenance/Repair Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Location: US-UT-Salt Lake City Work Experience: 1+ to 2 Years JOB DESCRIPTION DELIVERY & ASSEMBLY TECHNICIANSObjective:  Provide customers with the highest level of customer service in regards to Delivery & Assembly and in-store Assembly services i.e. Fitness, Bike, Game Table, Basketball System Assembly, bike tunes & repair, and any other technical service requested by the customer or store on serviceable equipment.  Perform complex technical services for customers. Certified in multiple technical services provided.  Gather and respond to specific service requests and ensure it is properly and safely completed to the customers’ satisfaction.  Protect company liability in regard to services performed.Primary Job Functions:Customer Service and Sales: Able to listen to and solve customer issues. Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner. Provide training and staff development. Ensure the customer is educated and fully aware of all services they have requested. Suggest the appropriate services to customers. Ensure technicians are aware of any certifications that may be required to obtain; ensures certifications are current. Travel between stores within specified market(s). Be familiar with current service pricing, and any additional merchandise pricing applicable for the market. Communicate any information pertaining to Assembly and Delivery including any missed opportunities for sales. Attend to miscellaneous duties including:  store meetings, clinic schedules, and training sessions. Address any safety issues to Risk Management or asset protection issues that may occur in the store/customer’s home in a timely manner that there is neither a loss to the company, nor an uncontrollable situation with a customer or associate.Service Responsibilities: Load and unload daily inventory into company vehicle. Travel to customer’s home to deliver and assemble purchased product. Required to operate and maintain standard hand tools, or motorized equipment, jackhammer, auger, etc. Document and follow all Sports Service maintenance information on equipment. Follow all safety procedures in the operation of shop/assembly equipment and vehicles. Practice good housekeeping methods and overall cleanliness in-store and in-home. Ensure all necessary tools and supplies are kept in stock and safely locked in authorized location. Request any current fitness/bike/gametable/basketball system manuals or paperwork that may be out dated. Works with Sr. Market Technician to order tools and equipment for shop and for special orders or parts and communicate with Sr. Market Tech/Sports Services on program needs. Responsible for other duties as assigned or developed.Prerequisite skills/experience for position: 1-5 years experience in a retail or technical services environment or equivalent relevant experience. Certifications are obtained and current. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure. Technical and mechanical knowledge of fitness/athletic/bike industry. Prior retail experience and knowledge of the sports for which these products are utilized. Strong attention to detail. Ability to protect company assets. Understand and facilitate Standard Operating Procedures for area. Complete understanding of audit procedures for area. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. unassisted.
