Director of Construction

URGENT NEED!  Leading Restaurant/Retail General Contractor seeks a talented Director of Construction to oversee 10 to 15 Project Managers. Must have: 7 to 10 years of Restaurant/Retail experience. Candidate must have strong demonstrated leadership skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and lead a team on a day-to-day, job-to-job basis. It is preferred that the candidate has either 50/50 Restaurant/Retail experience or MORE of an emphasis on the Restaurant side.  Must have ground up experience. Candidate MUST come from a GC or CM at Risk side of construction.  PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND IF YOUR EXPERIENCE IS ON THE OWNER’S REP SIDE! Must have managed a minimum of 6 Project Managers, including responsibility with hire/fire and yearly reviews.  Proficient in MS Office Suites including MS Projects and Timberline Accounting. Must be proficient in creating Master Schedules and maintaining the schedules. Must have experience in Purchasing. Business Development would be helpful, but not required. Construction related degree. Potential candidate must have very strong verifiable references and has held this type of position for 3 to 5 years with a reputable firm.
