Director of Pre-Construction Hotel/Casino

 Director of Pre-Construction Services  We are currently working with a top Resort and Casino Developer to find a Director of Pre-Construction Services to be based in Las Vegas, NV. This company has a portfolio of Gaming/ Resort properties throughout the US and offers an exciting future. Position SummaryResponsible for supporting the Sr. Vice President of Construction with pre-construction duties while interfacing with both the Corporate Construction, Design and Development staff and/or outside consultants, contractors and agencies regarding all aspects of project planning and preparation related to construction issues.  Duties and Responsibilities· Develop and report preliminary budgets in Excel and schedules in Project or Primavera with related support documents during the pre-construction process. · Participate in the preparation of studies and reports utilizing Word and Excel for feasibility and statistical recommendation to Sr. Management. · Assist the VP’s of Construction and Design in Monthly and Quarterly updates to all project budgets and schedules. · Coordinates with Design and Construction in the preparation and distribution of early stage project documents (including contract negotiations) to project team for monitoring of budgets and schedules. · Analysis of early entitlement issues and costs related to construction projects via telephone and meeting with authorities having Jurisdiction. · Participate in weekly Design and Casino meetings.· Assist in identifying General Contractor pool of qualified candidates for projects. Required Knowledge and Skills· Advanced estimating using Excel or other proprietary software programs for casino estimating also scheduling · Ability to interpret Concept plans and prepare detailed estimates· Advanced verbal and business writing skills to prepare presentation quality reports for Sr. Management.· Knowledge of Gen Contractor’s accounting and estimating methodology. Required Education and Work Experience· College degree in Construction Management specializing in Estimating preferred· Desirable to have minimum 15 years experience as a Construction Estimator with a minimum of 5 years with Casino/Hotel as the primary specialty.
