Director of Sales and Marketing

SUMMARY
The purpose of the role is to plan and implement sales and marketing strategies in order to meet company growth and profitability goals for consumer sales, commercial work, and franchise development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESDirect and oversee the company’s sales and marketing strategy, including advertising and PR, to identify and develop new customers for products and services throughout the franchise system. Contribute to formulation of policy and strategy as a member of the executive team. Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results. Develop and manage relevant reporting of management and financial information for the sales and marketing departments. Plan and manage internal communications and awareness of corporate direction with both staff and franchise owners. Maintain and develop corporate image and reputation, to protect and develop the DUCTZ brand. Update existing marketing materials, creating and maintaining tracking procedures as it relates to national advertising, marketing, national toll free number and Web site data. Plan and coordinate public affairs, and communications efforts, to include public relations and community outreach. Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company. Manage vendor relationships and program development. Develop/ supervise the preparation of presentations, sales materials, exhibits, and promotional programs. Play a primary role in the development and execution of the annual national convention. Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law. Serve on planning and advisory committees if requested. Develop and manage National Marketing Committee and Fund promotions and budget as applicable. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSExperience in strategic planning and execution. Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts. Work requires excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. Fluency in the Microsoft Office Suite. A working knowledge of the Adobe Office Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and In Design) is a plus. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Degree in Marketing or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in a senior-level sales and/or marketing position. Franchising experience is a plus.
