If you hold the passion and the desire to impact all aspects of business and operational goals and the ability to create and implement the necessary tools, systems and processes to achieve those goals, we hold an exciting challenge for you.The Director of Store Planning and Development delivers strategic objectives by working closely with key team members in operations, real estate, marketing/merchandising, human resources and finance in order to direct and coordinate all facets of store planning and development projects which include new, relocation, remodel and expansion stores, as well as existing store maintenance and repair.DIVERSE FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE:-Supervise and manage the Store Planning and Development team by hiring, training, coaching and mentoring staff -Manage on-time, on-budget delivery of store development project (new, remodel, relocations and expansions) -Develop store layouts consistent with brand vision/prototype guidelines -Oversee the design and construction of all new stores and the renovation of existing stores -Define, communicate and implement the process for store development projects (new, remodel, relocations and expansions) -Manage procurement of fixtures, materials and delivery within budget and timeline while ensuring quality standards are met -Manage fixture and technology installation process for store development projects -Oversee set up, production and merchandising of new, relocation, remodel and expansion stores -Contract with and supervise outside contractors and vendors -Direct the maintenance of building, grounds, equipment and facilities in compliance with government regulations and company standards -Collaborate with other departments to meet financial objectives for new, relocation, remodel and expansion store performance and average store costs; implements cost reduction strategies related to construction, pre-opening and possessionREQUIRED CREDENTIALS:-Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or a combination of education and experience that yields the required knowledge, skills and abilities -7-10 years of property management, store development and/or construction project management experience, preferably for a multi-unit retail company with an emphasis on new store rollouts -5-7 years of management experience leading and managing team members, evaluating and selecting outside vendors and contractors -International and domestic travel will be required -Working knowledge of budgeting and accounting practices, building and equipment life expectancies -Demonstrated supervisory, management and leadership skills, influencing both direct and indirect reports from a distance -Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers, vendors and team members at all levels of the organization -Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems, identify solutions, recommend and implement methods, procedures and techniques for problem resolution -Possess strong communication and organizational skills -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and OutlookFor immediate consideration, please send resume and cover letter to saversrecruit1@savers.com This role offers an excellent base/bonus structure as well as competitive benefit package.
