Division Manager of Underground Utility Construction

The ideal candidate possesses a background in the construction of underground utilities in the areas of estimating, project management, and field supervision.  The candidate must also possess the ability to successfully manage other personnel in these areas of responsibility.

 

Required knowledge would include the following:Ability to assess and determine a project’s scope of work, labor, equipment, and material needs to build projects, determine construction productivity, prepare and review estimates, read plans and project specifications, prepare quantity take-offs, request proposals from subcontractors and material vendors and prepare proposals.Must have experience with construction contracts, purchasing of materials, hiring and managing subcontractors, tracking productivity, tracking job-costs, managing financial aspects of contracts, project scheduling, and managing positive relationships with customers.Must be able to determine equipment maintenance needs, schedule crews, subcontractors and material delivery, and monitor and maintain a high level of safety, quality, and production.Must have experience in hiring, training, managing and evaluating personnel, developing standards and procedures, managing a budget and reporting pertinent information to upper management.
