Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80915 Contact Address: 915 Valley StreetColorado Springs,Colorado 80915 Fax: 719-574-1253 JobRefCode: Electrical Installer Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Installation/Maintenance/Repair Experience: 2+ to 5 Years       Job Description   Job Description: Job Announcement  SimplexGrinnell is a recognized leader in the sales and service of state of the art monitor and control systems for fire alarm, security, sound, nurse call, portable fire extinguishers, suppression and sprinkler systems.  Our continued growth has produced a need for an Electrical Installer in our Colorado Springs, CO location. Beginning Posting Date:  05/02/08 Ending Posting Date:  05/16/08 Position:  Electrical Installer Hiring Manager – John Hancheck Responsibilities:  Provide installation and technical service to customers on systems to include but not limited to:  Fire alarm, Security, Nurse Call, Intercom, Sound and Phone. Project manage and install assigned projects including; conduit, wire, panel and device installation, determining proper device locations and connections, and system testing. Ensure installations are in accordance with SimplexGrinnell provided prints, specifications, and are both code and local AHJ compliant. Liaison with General Contractors and owners to maintain installation schedules and scheduled tests. Complete and turn in all Service and Project paperwork to the Service Coordinator and Project Manager in a timely manner. Report directly to the Electrical Ops Manager.  Minimum Requirements: Two years experience in fire alarm systems and equipment installation, service and/or repair to include fire alarm network systems or five years experience in other low voltage installation on commercial projects. Experience in setting up, programming and deploying various windows operating systems. Basic understanding of fire alarm systems and codes. Able to read blue prints. Able to work on your own. Ability to research solutions both in technical publications and on line. Excellent customer relations and communications skills. Working knowledge of standard electronic test equipment. NICET Level II certification or higher preferred Clean driving record with valid driver’s license.
