Job responsibilities include:· Create customized integrated system solutions including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, CCTV and others to meet customer needs and or construction specifications.· Create and deliver customized proposals and perform professional presentations.· Promote and sell various system offerings for commercial building projects.· Determine existing and new customer needs and develop a sales strategy to meet those needs.· Develop a personal business plan to meet assigned sales objectives and activity goals in assigned geographical territory and the healthcare vertical market.· Maintain effective customer communications along with building solid customer relationships from initial contact through order acquisition, delivery, installation and after market service.· Maintain a positive attitude, good morale outlook, and always be positive in relations with other staff members.· Projects a professional appearance at all times.· Support our team, as well as all company policies and directions. A successful candidate will have:· Bachelor's degree in Business, Electronics, Engineering, or 2-4 years industry experience.· 5-7 year’s sales experience in the fire alarm/integrated security industry is preferred, and experience in the healthcare vertical market is a definite asset.· Proven sales track record with quota based success.· Demonstrated leadership, negotiating and financial management skills.· Knowledge of local fire codes, building codes and fire protection standards.· Good computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook required.· Excellent interpersonal and time management abilities.· Must be well organized and self motivating.· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as customer service skills.· The ability to read and understand complicated diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.· NICET Certification in the Fire Alarm subfield is a plus. Good customer service skills and the ability to think on your feet are a necessity. You must be able to lift equipment and supplies up to 40 lbs; travel overnight; work late nights/shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. To be hired, applicants must have a valid state driver's license, and their driving record must meet SimplexGrinnell’s requirements. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen and a background check. The ability to obtain any appropriate licenses required by national, state and local codes is required.
