HR Service Manager

Reporting to the Regional HR Service Leader, the HR Service Manager works closely with local senior management in the California offices to develop and implement HR strategies related to staffing, employee relations, organizational design, college recruitment, management development, retention and productivity.  This is a management position requiring proficiency in supporting both strategic vision and executing the transactional HR workflow processes. Counseling executives and managers on key business and human resources issues are a must. Additionally, the HR Manager is responsible for data entry and processing of all transactions into the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). Ensures data integrity for the HRIS system and runs a variety of reports and statistical summaries. Processes requests for salary, unemployment insurance, mortgages, and verification of employment. Maintains personnel files (filing, file audits, etc.) and prepares offer letters, new hire start work packages and assists in benefits administration, new hire orientation and employee relations.

The position requirements include a BA/BS in HR or related discipline with 3-5 years related Human Resources experience specifically in California. Other requirements include exceptional written / verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Multi-tasking, detail-orientation and prioritization of workload skills are required. Must be able to travel to the California offices and other regional and national Skanska offices as required. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point and related HRIS programs is a must.
