If so than this is the right opportunity for you!  Our client has retained us to find a Project Manager that wants the direct and clear career path towards becoming a project executive.  They are looking for someone interested in getting into doing healthcare work, which is the fastest growing market segment in the construction industry.  This person will lead a challenging, negotiated project in the East Bay and then lead the preconstruction effort on two $50 million plus project where they will be the senior leader overseeing those teams.  Our client is a full service General Contractor that has worked exclusively and successfully in the San Francisco and the greater Bay Area for 53 years. They have over 40 years of combined construction management and construction experience for healthcare, laboratory, education, multi-unit residential and commercial facilities. QUALIFICATIONSDesired qualifications include a B.S. or B.A. degree in engineering, construction management, operations management or architecture, combined with estimating and scheduling skills. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience preferably with OSHPD healthcare projects and/or education projects. Healthcare / Medical Facility project experience. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with a scheduling/ project management software program (ConstructWare experience is a plus) as well as Microsoft Office products. THE POSITIONFull responsibility for the overall management of their construction project(s) including the client relationship, planning and controlling costs, schedules, quality and production. Developing/maintaining a good relationship with the Owner Team. Estimating and establishing budgets and contract price. Reviewing contract conditions and ensuring compliance. Developing monthly cost reporting. Negotiating effective subcontractor and material purchases. Managing project safety. Creating and maintaining the project schedule. Managing and leading project meetings. Managing, training and supervising the project team. Maintaining quality control.
