Contact Name: Sherry Kinnibrugh Contact Email: skinnibrugh@tycoint.com Fax: 512-634-1811 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Installation/Maintenance/Repair Experience: 2+ to 5 Years       Job Description   Job Description: As the world’s largest full-service provider of fire protection, detection and integrated systems, SimplexGrinnell is continually looking for talented and ambitious individuals.  Our continued success and growth has produced a need for an Inspections Manager based in our Austin, TX location. Summary: We are currently looking for an Inspections Manager reporting to the Total Service Manager to join our Austin District.  In this challenging and rewarding role the responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the sprinkler business from financial planning, Engineering, Fabrication and scheduling and motivating and managing all installation personnel. Responsibilities:·Oversee Sprinkler, Fire alarm and Suppression Inspectors’ day-to-day tasks, recommend new hires, promotions and provide assistance in performance evaluation and training of technicians. ·Employee will be responsible for estimating and managing field service while overseeing the installation, inspection, prevention, maintenance and repair of our products. ·Work with Inspections Co-ordinators on scheduling and reviewing deficiency inspection reports. ·Price schedules for quotations on inspections, small to medium repairs and upgrades.·Ensure complete understanding of Company policies and review with Technicians to promote understanding and compliance on a daily basis.·Actively participate in quickly resolving customer problems. ·Employee will be responsible for setting fair and manageable quota assignments and territories for subordinates. ·Ensure that effective performance measures are assigned, and that employees are motivated to achieve and exceed objectives in a professional, timely and quality manner. ·Perform additional duties, as required.  Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:·3 or more years of experience in the fire protection/life safety industry. ·  Understanding of P&L and the ability to oversee Sales activities. ·Degree or diploma in Fire Protection or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience. ·  Demonstrated leadership with effective verbal and written communication skills. ·  Proficient with MS Office as well as online systems. ·  Knowledge of Oracle a plus. ·  Knowledge of maintenance scheduling systems a plus. ·  Knowledge of applicable fire regulations and codes i.e. OFC, ULC etc…·  Valid Drivers License Only applicants that meet the minimum qualifications will be considered for employment.  Along with a challenging work environment, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including tuition assistance, employee stock plan and matching 401(k) plan.  All applicants must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.  For more information on SimplexGrinnell, please review our home page at:  www.simplexgrinnell.com  SimplexGrinnell LP is an equal employment opportunity employer, M/F/D/V. If you champion integrity, excellence, teamwork and accountability, please submit your resume.   Send this Job to a Friend View all "Tyco" jobs Learn more about Tyco
