Installation Manager

Position Description:  Under general supervision, installation, move -add change work, periodic preventive maintenance and service effecting issues on all equipment installed and new projects upcoming. Handles all repair tickets in a timely fashion including updating the customer of fixes. Troubleshoots equipment isolating malfunctions  Superior customer service skills with excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires analytical, problem solving skills and good organizational skills. Team Player with the ability to maintain in a high pressure environment Motivated to try new things, and also is a self learner

 

· Acts as customer liaison with on site contacts regarding work and fault rectification. Keeping both the service desk, Operation Manager and Customer fully informed of status of work/fault. Ensures site records are accurate and kept up to date.  Adheres to company policies for all work to ensure that work is completed accurate, and done in a timely manner

 

· Identifies and escalate faults if necessary

 

· Identify manpower and subcontractor requirements for all pending installations

 

· Interface with the warehouse to ensure that proper stocking levels are provided to meet timely installation requirements.

 

·  Interface with internal and external customers as the first point of escalation for installation related issues.

 

· Through leadership, provide the Installation Department with a continuous improvement process participate in the cutover, 1st day of service, or service turnover of new installations

 

· Review and verify all closed out installations

 

 

· Implement project installation strategy to compliment and achieve project targets

 

· Lead the planning, preparation and mobilization/demobilization of site installation activities

 

· Lead the installation schedule development

 

· Coordinate with Contract Management to define work scope, coordinate installation activities and provide support as needed

 

· Lead installation lessons learned reviews in support of continuous improvement efforts Interface with Contract Management to plan installation activity, report installation progress and close projects Contribute to lessons learned initiatives, driving continuous improvement methodology in with regard to installation best practices

 

Knowledge/Experience

Position requires a combination of installation and project management experience.  The ideal candidate will have construction or specialty installation management experience. Minimum 5 – 7 years site installation/commissioning experience BS degree or combination of equivalent education and experience. Demonstrated experience utilizing related management, project management, and safety training strongly desired. Supervisory experience including direction of craft labor and technicians preferred.
