We are looking for an aggressive, dynamic forward-thinking Inside Sales & Sales Support Manager who will support our Southwest Region Distribution sales efforts. We work with residential builders and independent lumber dealers, regional chains, roofing and hardware wholesalers and supply houses to introduce our building materials products and solutions. This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring uninterrupted and timely supply of products to our location and customers.
Primary duties include:Working directly with the Regional Vice President (Sales), Inside and Outsides sales and Warehouse coordinator to implement and achieve regional and corporate goals. Provide superior service to our customers, consistently fulfilling our commitment and standards at meeting their expectations.Monitor and administer service levels, invoicing, customer fill rates, open orders, shipments.Assist RVP to maintain pricing, show planning, price quotes, samples shipments, marketing and sales tools.Answer incoming calls and generate outbound selling calls, perform and oversee order entry, employee requirements.Assist outside sales team members in the pro-active communication of product changes and new product roll-outs, sales targets performance.Train & supervise future Inside Sales/Customer Service personnelLead and improve existing procedures to accomplish success objectives.Learn and obtain product knowledge Order entry and database maintenance Serve as key contact for internal and external clientsServe as Product Knowledge expertSome client visits as neededAcquiring strong knowledge of decking and railing business climate in base region Facilitating pull-through sales through introduction of new products and training end-users Supporting sales team at dealer shows, home shows and training
The ideal candidate will possess these minimum requirements:Energetic and positive team playerCollege coursework highly preferred. A minimum of 3 - 5 years in business, marketing, sales or equivalent experience required. Excellent communication skills, must enjoy outbound selling; cold calling experience preferred.Strong follow-through skills and attention to detailAbility to develop and maintain solid relationships at all levels of various business functions within the company. 2 - 3 years outbound selling experience highly preferred.Experience with and knowledge of residential construction or building materials industries is a plus. Strong customer, sales and service orientationAbility to work independentlyProven success in setting and achieving goalsProven computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookExperience with integrated IT systemsAbility to work under pressure to produce accurate work and meet deadlines.High level of confidentialityStrong worth ethic and positive "can-do" attitude who is flexible and takes pride in the quality of their work.
