The Product Manager will drive revenue growth and customer retention for Network Express. Network Express is a service of the MHC Project Network that integrates McGraw-Hill Construction Network Data into industry leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Sales Force Automation (SFA) solutions like Salesforce.com, Siebel OnDemand, SAP, and Microsoft. The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the existing Network Express business and accountable for driving profitable revenue growth for this product line. This person will work very closely with the Vice Presidents of Sales and key leaders from technology, marketing, and operations. In addition, the Director of Network Product Development is responsible for developing and cultivating business relationships in the CRM/SFA software space. This includes the management of 3rd party contracted vendor partners as needed. This role demands a high level of interaction with customers and an acute understanding of their needs. · The Network Express Product Manager will have direct accountability for sales and revenue targets:· Support of the sales teams in meeting specific unit sales as defined by the current POB/MRP· Marketing and communications programs· Oversight on required product features· Customer and sales support Definition of the Product Roadmap for the Network Express product:· Positioning of current product capabilities within understood customer needs· Positioning of Network Express within the competitive landscape· Pricing and packaging· Three year product plan· Guide user research and feedback methods to support ongoing development initiatives. Identify tools/services and channel partners to execute programs.· Provide strong hands-on, front-end leadership in defining product strategy, accessing customer feedback, performing business-oriented needs analysis.· Interact with various levels of management (senior/executive) in developing product possibilities, risk assessment, technology validation, and alternative implementation strategies.· Define detailed implementation plans, matrix with project team leads; oversee the preparation of functional specifications and user requirements. · Control projects under assigned responsibility. Establish cost and manpower requirements, project plans, and project timelines. Ensure accountability and team execution and delivery. The incumbent will have overall responsibility for the Network Express product line. The MHC Network generates in excess of $90 million in revenue each year and has 25,000 registered users. The aggregate of the MHC Network and related online properties currently hosts: 325,000 Registered Users 11,000,000 Monthly Page Views These figures are increasing monthly. The incumbent will have specific responsibilities towards achieving defined published target goals for: Network Express Targets (Revenue, Users, Retention) Project Timeliness Project Budget Control Quality Control Vendor Management Industry Partner Certification Knowledge & Experience: The candidate must have 5-10 years of leadership experience focused on the sale and implementation of Enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and/or Sales Force Automation (SFC) solutions with a key focus on Technology and Data Integration principles. Strong project management skillsStrong relationship with skills with a proven ability to work within an internal matrix organization. Must possess superior leadership and people skills with the ability to work and develop relationship with people with a variety of backgrounds (senior executives/middle management, sales/editorial, architects/manufacturers, etc. etc.). Must have the leadership capacity to motivate and influence team members, often remotely. Mature professional with a “Can-do” attitude. Able to rapidly prioritize within a dynamic environment. Strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to think the big picture from a long-term perspective despite the pressure of delivering day-to-day project results. Strong tactical execution with a drive for results. Must be a self-starter who can create roadmap for execution and then show follow-through. Ability to operate in a rapid application development environment and deliver results. Must be well organized, disciplined and capable of completing and tracking a number of inter-related tasks. The incumbent must have good written and presentation skills. College degree or equivalent experience in either computer systems or business administration. · Must be able to maintain and support multiple projects and priorities in the fast past Internet environment.· Must be able to interact with various levels of management including group executives.· Must have sound technical skills related to the delivery of Internet products and services.· Must be process oriented.· Must be a leader with the ability to encourage and motivate the matrix team leads to focus and execute.· Must be skilled at delivering enterprise level Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and/or Sales Force Automation (SFS) solutions.· Individual must be able to adapt to new technologies.
